I do not think cell phones should be completely banned. I think not only teens but also adults have to have rules about cell phones and driving. Holding a cell phone while driving is dangerous, because a person cannot concentrate on driving when he or she is talking on the phone. However, sometimes there is an emergency and people need to use a cell phone, for example when you are lost and need directions, then you have to call someone for help. Another example is if your family needs to contact you. If you have a cell phone, they can find you as soon as they need. If you think that it is too dangerous to use a cell phone while you are driving, then a handfree cell phone is better to use. Handfree is much more convenient, safe and easy to use while you are driving. These are reasons I think cell phones should not be banned for teenagers or adults.
I think the lawmakers' behavior is correct. Some students probably think it is unfair to them because adult drivers can use it but they can't. In our country, however, the law even bans teenagers from driving. The main reason is to protect teenagers' security. In the basic, underage means you are not mature enough to judge some things by yourself. Perhaps, the lawmakers in those countries thought in this way as well. But I think you guys don't need to be upset or angry. There are still some ways to solve the problem: just keep your cell phones on, if someone calls you when you're on the road, you can stop the car on the side of the road and call back to see what happened. In these way, it maybe can make the accidents less and less.
Teen drivers don’t have enough wisdom to do these two things at the same time. If they really do this, it must be very dangerous and irresponsible. I think not only teen drivers but also adult drivers can’t do this. Government agencies should help people get out of this danger. Taiwan should ban the use of cell phones by all drivers. Because nobody wants to be killed as you walk on the street!
